The heart-pounding medical drama Code Black returns for a second season.
At the heart of the Angels Memorial Hospital ER's controlled chaos is Residency Director Dr Leanne Rorish (Marcia Gay Harden), a stop-at-nothing residency director whose job is to save lives in an often impossible environment, and who is known to by the group of residents as 'Daddy'.
Joining her in season two is Colonel Ethan Willis (Rob Lowe), who has been embedded at Angels Memorial by the US Military's most elite medical program to teach innovative medicine in a hospital that often resembles the combat zone he's familiar with. Both doctors work under - and sometimes against - the iron- hand of ER and OR Director Dr Will Campbell (Boris Kodje).
Code Black favourites Angus (Harry Ford), Mario (Benjamin Hollingsworth) and Malaya (Melanie Chandra) return, joined by some bright-eyed new first year residents including Heroes' star Noah Gray Cabey, playing Elliot. Life is measured in seconds, and these heroic doctors and nurses operate with speed and skill within an overwhelmed system to heal people who are often there for one of two reasons: to die or to receive a life-saving miracle.
In episode one, Willis takes Dr Mike Leighton (Tommy Dewey), Angus' brother, on a harrowing helicopter ride to save shark bite victims in Malibu, with terrifying consequences.
