Episode 1 - Pilot

After meeting an Afghanistan veteran, homicide detective Cat Chandler suddenly finds her past and present collide in supernatural fashion. Cat is touched by the person that lives within the Beast and knows she has to keep her relationship with Vincent a secret from her boss, Joe, her partner, Tess, and even from her close friend, Evan, the medical examiner.
Episode 2 - Proceed With Caution

When a rising young ballerina mysteriously falls to her death, Vincent senses that the understudy, Victoria, is hiding information about the dancer's murder.

Meanwhile, Cat seeks out Vincent's help to decipher a medical paper found in her mother's belongings, and J.T. worries that Cat's visits to the warehouse loft leave Vincent vulnerable to discovery by Muirfield's agents.
Episode 3 - All In

Iris, a Bosnian immigrant, is arrested on suspicion of killing a judge for deporting her brother. Vincent insists that she's innocent, so trusting his instincts, Cat works behind-the-scenes to uncover the truth.

When Cat's actions disrupt the investigation, Joe places her on leave, but she continues on her own to discover that Iris is hiding a family secret, and needs Vincent's help, but they have to find a way to communicate covertly.
Episode 4 - Basic Instinct

After Vincent revives a teenager, Cat discovers the boy has a history of bone fractures. Silverfox and his agents make Cat an offer: trade in Vincent in exchange for information about her mother's death.
Episode 5 - Saturn Returns

It's Cat's birthday, and things get complicated when she has to cancel her plans with Vincent because her sister throws her a surprise party where she shares an unexpected moment with Evan.

Vincent is caught on security camera preventing a robbery, leading his photo to appear in the newspapers, and Cat investigates the disappearance of a woman after her fiancé puts their engagement notice in the paper.
Episode 6 - Worth

Cat's soon-to-be-step-mother is in town and she tries hard to be friendly, but she catches him in a clinch with another man. Meanwhile Cat and Tess are on a case trying to solve the murder of an artist, Nicholas, who's paintings were being used for a front for a high end escort service.
Episode 7 - Out Of Control

Vincent's blackouts are becoming increasingly frequent, so JT examines him to try to determine the cause, but when Vincent starts to get his beast mode on halfway through, JT has to tranquilise him.

Meanwhile, Evan works to uncover a murderer, but when he gets close he gets kidnapped. Cat begs Vincent to help her get him back safely, but Cat doesn't realise the grave danger she is placing Vincent in...
Episode 8 - Trapped

JT fears that Catherine is the trigger of Vincent's blackouts, but in an attempt to prove him wrong, Vincent receives an injection which sedates him into a fugue state. During a flashback, he remembers receiving his first DNA altering shot in Afghanistan and who gave it to him.

Cat and Tess investigate the attempted murder of a young singer and Evan suspects that Cat is protecting the vigilante who saved him in the subway.
Episode 9 - Bridesmaid Up!

When Catherine's dad gets remarried, the bride-to-be and her bridesmaids try to find the daughter-of-the-groom a date for the wedding. Tess and Cat investigate a homicide involving a matchmaking company.
Episode 10 - Seeing red

While Cat is in the hospital, she is forced to confront her feelings for Vincent. Vincent barely escapes being caught by his former fiancé, Alex and must deal with the repercussions of his past. Meanwhile, JT gets a surprising visitor asking about old research he did on mutant DNA.
Episode 11 - On Thin Ice

Vincent is torn between his new feelings for Cat and his old memories with Alex. J.T. learns that Evan is planning to propose a task force to catch the beast and must figure out how to stop him. Meanwhile, Tess investigates the mysterious skydiving death of the wife of a billionaire adventurer, while Cat remains off duty until she recovers from being shot.
Episode 12 - Cold Turkey

Cat has promised to try and keep away from Vincent. However, when she suspects that Muirfield might know Vincent's whereabouts she is forced to interrupt his romantic cabin getaway with Alex in order to save their lives.

Meanwhile, Evan finds a bug in his lab and becomes increasingly suspicious of J.T.
Episode 13 - Trust No One

Cat and Vincent have to decide if they can trust Alex with the truth about who or what Vincent really is. When Alex starts to realise that just because she's paranoid, it doesn't mean they're not after you, she is quickly smuggled out of town, but will it be enough to protect her?
Episode 14 - Tough Love

When Heather invites Cat and Vincent to dinner with her and her boyfriend, the double date proves to be a disaster. As Vincent struggles to provide the answers to the everyday line of questioning, Cat struggles to defend him. Heather is horrified at Cat's choice of suitor and rushes to Tess to propose an intervention.

Later, there's nothing Cat can do when Vincent become involved in a potentially lethal situation at a night club.
Episode 15 - Any Means Possible

Sendhil Ramamurthy (Heroes) joins the cast as new Assistant District Attorney Gabe Lowan, and he wants answers about the vigilante cases.

This new arrival could spell big trouble for Vincent who is also worrying about what falling in love with Cat will mean for his ability to control his beastly other self. Cat's not too worried though, she's busy protecting Vincent, even tracking down and threatening a potentially dangerous witness.
Episode 16 - Insatiable

After finally taking their relationship to a new level, Cat and Vincent are forced back down to Earth when someone appears to be framing the vigilante and Evan thinks that Cat knows more than she's letting on about the beast.

J.T. and Cat have to figure out an extreme solution when Muirfield and the police close in on Vincent and Tess, following up on a tip, finds something that will forever change her relationship with Cat.
Episode 17 - Partners in Crime

Cat is forced to tell a suspicious Tess all about Vincent and her relationship with him. She tells Cat she can't be a detective and in love with a wanted fugitive and tells her to choose. If she doesn't, Tess will do it for her.

Cat makes her decision leading to a potentially deadly chain of events.
Episode 18 - Heart of Darkness

The net begins to close around mismatched love birds Cat and Vincent as Evan declares his love to Cat and tries to sabotage their relationship. However, it turns out that Vincent isn't the only experimental soldier on Muirfield's books.

Meanwhile, Gabe finds evidence that someone in the department is a mole who was working with the vigilante. Is it time for Cat to run?
Episode 19 - Playing with Fire

Gabe comes clean to Cat that he knows about Muirfield. Vincent does not think Cat should trust Gabe and is suspicious of his intentions, which causes tension between them.

However, Cat's desire to get as much information about Muirfield means she goes along with Gabe and breaks into a secret facility. Trapped, and with an elite squad surrounding the building, Vincent arrives and saves the day. Cat and Vincent agree to work together, not against each other in the future.
Episode 20 - Anniversary

Cat sure knows how to pick ?em. Her current beau is a government experiment prone to lapses of rage, and now she seems to be flirting with a man who no one fully trusts?

On the anniversary of her mother's death, Cat asks Gabe to attend her family's annual remembrance, which makes Vincent incredibly jealous.
Episode 21 - Date Night

Cat and Vincent go on their first public date and plan their lives together, but will it involve the pitter-patter of tiny beast feet?

Meanwhile, the new beast turns out to be none other than the mysterious Gabe. However, he is taking a course of pills which he claims can cure his beastly qualities ? prompting Cat to believe there is hope for Vincent, but J.T. informs him that he will only live for three years on this medication. Is it a price worth paying for a normal life? Cat thinks not, but Vincent keeps taking the pills.
Episode 22 - Never Turn Back

It's all action in the season finale as Cat's dad is hit by a car, which leads to a shock revelation.

Meanwhile, Gabe's intentions to kill Vincent in order to keep himself alive gather pace, but JT sets about helping his pal. However, Gabe knows Vincent's weakness and takes action which leads to a fight between the two beasts. Are Vincent's days numbered?
