Masterchef Australia is back and the stakes are higher than ever with the biggest prize to date, including $250,000 in cash.
The series kicks off with two special Judges Auditions episodes where 50 hopeful cooks will be whittled down to the final 24.
Judges Gary Mehigan, George Calombaris and Matt Preston will be putting the wannabe chefs through their paces, with each hoping to get their hands on that apron which will guarantee them a place in the show.
Joining the judges for this sixth season is Oz celebrity chef and restauranteur Kylie Kwong, who will be mentoring contestants during the Immunity Challenges as well as acting as a guest judge.
Other changes to the series include the decision to drop the weekly theme and the introduction of a 'power apron' that will give the chosen contestant advantages on the show.
