For more than a decade, the East Village's iconic Obscura Antiques & Oddities shop has been New York City's foremost destination for one-of-a-kind, bizarre-and often shocking artefacts.
We follows the day-to-day comings and goings at the shop, as co-owners Mike Zohn, Evan Michelson and buyer Ryan Matthew search flea markets, personal collections, auctions and antique shops for the unique, unusual and the freaky.
We'll also meet their customers ? including some celebrities ? who come into the shop looking to embrace their inner freak.
In this series, we'll see everything from a shrunken head to an articulated rooster skeleton and a talking doll created by Thomas Edison. All in a day's work for the freakiest shop in Holly-Odd.
