Louis Theroux

'Weird Weekends' introduced Louis Theroux's idiosyncratic documentary style as the intrepid interviewer set out to discover the genuinely odd in the most ordinary setting, getting people to reveal more of themselves than they probably intended. Then came 'When Louis Met...', a landmark series where Louis spent time with different British celebrities, most notably Jimmy Savile. Then, starting in 2003 with 'Louis and the Brothel', Louis returned to US themes, producing this series of feature-length specials which tackle a whole host of diverse subjects, from neo-Nazis and extreme plastic surgery to drug addiction and gender dysphoria.
